The story behind Blues

Sarah founded Blues in 1978 and has worked in a wide range of fields, from teaching at the Cordon Bleu School to cooking director’s lunches and writing cookery books. Sarah keeps in touch with new products coming onto the market by judging for The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food. She also continues to be actively involved in the running of Blues as well as maintaining a good relationship with the cookery schools and advising students on how to prepare for the future.

The Blues Ethos

We register each candidate through an intricate process to ensure we have a good understanding of the individuals’ ability and personality. We require all candidates to send two up to date written references followed by a one to one interview with a trained recruitment consultant. In doing so we get to know our employees on a personal level ascertaining where their strengths lie and type of job they are striving for. Building strong working relationships with our candidates ensures we place them into appropriate jobs where their skills and experience compliment the requirements of the client.
